Welcome to my genealogy research area. Its not a gigantic 10,000 person database. I really am trying to keep it to a fairly direct connection to myself, both from a interest viewpoint and to limit the amount of research required - I do have other things to do with my life!

I got into all of this a few years ago after my grandfather passed away and I realized that all of that first hand knowledge, the positive identification of people in old pictures, the stories and details about people that made them more than just a name in a database - all of that had just been lost. I wasn't real interested in genealogy at the time but I had some interest and I realized that I should at least interview my family members and get some info before it was too late.

That's how I started, I have treasured audio and video of long-gone family members talking about their childhood, how they met, etc. I also received a book detailing one chain of my family tree back to the 1700's that showed me in it! It all kind of snowballed from there.

With all of that I started small and adding in what I knew and what I had discovered, I encountered a couple of other family members doing similar research and was able to add considerably. Now that I've finally got a couple of hundred names and various types of documentation recorded I want to share it with anyone who is interested.
